Playing in the HJHL can help pay for school. Each year, players, on-ice officials, and team trainers and therapists from Alberta junior hockey are awarded scholarships toward their post-secondary education. The money comes through the Friends of Alberta Junior Hockey Society (FAJHS), which has been backing Alberta junior players since the early 1980s.
You don’t have to be a top scorer to qualify. Academics, sportsmanship, and commitment to your team matter too.
