The first decade of the Okotoks Bisons’ story was about building a foundation — finding identity, establishing culture, and creating a place where local players could represent their town with pride. But the decade that followed, from 1995 to 2005, would become one of the most defining chapters in the franchise’s 40-year history.
This was the era when the Bisons evolved from a small-town Jr. B club into a formidable, respected, and often feared opponent. It was a decade shaped not only by championships and dominant winning percentages, but by volunteers, coaches, and community leaders whose fingerprints guided the organization’s rise.
Between 1995 and 2005, Okotoks became known across Alberta for excellence, professionalism, and an unwavering commitment to doing things the right way.
