The Medicine Hat Cubs are putting together one of the strongest runs of the entire Junior B Provincials, showcasing structure, depth, and a level of compete that reflects incredibly well on the Heritage Junior Hockey League.
Game 1 – Win (4–2) vs Lloydminster Bandits
A confident, composed start to the tournament defeating the host team and league champion in their opening tournament game. The Cubs dictated pace, generated sustained pressure, and closed out the game with maturity
Game 2 – Win (2–0) vs CNHA Black
A complete defensive effort. The Cubs locked things down, earning a shutout and proving they can win tight, structured games when it matters.
Game 3 – Win (4–2) vs Sherwood Park Knights
Another impressive showing. Medicine Hat’s depth scoring and relentless forecheck overwhelmed the Knights, pushing the Cubs to a perfect record heading into the weekend.

What’s Ahead
With a spotless record so far, the Cubs have positioned themselves as a legitimate contender as Provincials continue. Their combination of discipline, timely scoring, and strong goaltending (from all three goaltenders) has made them one of the toughest teams in the field.
