Playoff ranking shall be determined based on the total number of points in the regular season. If two teams have equal number of points in the regular season, playoff ranking shall be determined based on the following criteria in the following order:
- Most regulation time wins.
- Best record head-to-head in the regular season.
- Team that scored the most in head-to-head matches.
- Best goal average for the regular season using the following formula (goals for + goals against divided into goals for)
- Team that scored the first goal in the first regular season game against each other.
