To our fans, players, volunteers, sponsors, and member communities, Iām happy to share some great news.
The Heritage Junior Hockey League is proud to welcome the Rimbey Royals as our newest expansion franchise, beginning in the 2026/2027 season, and joining our North Division.
Rimbey has a strong hockey tradition and the kind of community support that helps junior hockey thrive. The Royals have also shown a clear commitment to building a program the right way, with a focus on player development, strong culture, and long-term stability.
The league anticipates the regular season will begin on or about September 25th, 2026. And for fans who cannot always get to the rink, Royals home games will be streamed on FloHockey, so you can follow the team throughout the season.
Please join me in welcoming the Rimbey Royals to the HJHL. We look forward to seeing them on the ice in the 2026/2027 season.
