The Red Deer Vipers are in a hole in the Heritage Junior B Hockey League final.
Red Deer lost 6-2 to the Medicine Hat Cubs in Game 1 of the best-of-five final Saturday and fell again 7-4 on Sunday in Medicine Hat.
In the 6-2 loss, Evan Lemke and Mason Hammerback scored for Red Deer. Meyer Gaume made 35 saves in the loss, while Marlo DeRosa made 35 saves in the victory for the Cubs.
