The Cochrane Generals are one win away from punching their ticket to the south finals after a heart-stopping 4-3 overtime victory over the Wheatland Kings.
The Generals took Game 3 of the HJHL south division semifinal in dramatic fashion, as Nathan Sherriffs buried the winner at 8:39 of overtime, stunning the Kings and sending the Gens bench into celebration.
The win gives Cochrane a 2-1 lead in the best-of-five series, with a chance to close it out Friday night at 7:45 in Totem One.
