The Cochrane Gens rode a hot weekend to two key wins, keeping themselves in the thick of the Heritage Junior Hockey League’s tightly packed South Division.
Goaltender Isaias Maddigan was perfect between the pipes in a 3-0 shutout over the Medicine Hat Cubs on Saturday, his first of the season. The night before, the Gens cruised to a 5-1 win over the High River Flyers.
