Mountainview Colts aim to be ‘stronger and bigger’ in 2025

DIDSBURY – The 2025-26 Mountainview Colts will aim to be ‘stronger and bigger’ in the upcoming season, says second-year head coach and first-year general manager Ron Doig.

The Didsbury-based Heritage Junior Hockey League Colts play in the league’s north division. The team finished with a 19-17-2 record during the 2024-25 season, falling three games to two to the Red Deer Vipers in the first round of the playoffs.

The junior B team’s 2025-26 season gets underway with an away game in Airdrie on Friday and the home-opener in the Didsbury Memorial Complex on Saturday against Ponoka.

In an Albertan interview, the coach said he’s looking forward to a competitive season.
