The upcoming season marks a milestone in Okotoks hockey history.
The 2025-26 campaign will see the Carstar Okotoks Bisons celebrate their 40th anniversary — a journey that began in 1985 when the club first took the ice as the Okotoks 85ers.
Four decades later, the Bisons stand among Canada’s most respected and successful Jr. B programs, built on community support and unwavering volunteer dedication.
Originally established as the 85ers, the team quickly developed a reputation for gritty, competitive hockey. In 1990, the organization rebranded as the Okotoks Bisons — a name now synonymous with a winning culture and community pride.
